Let's go flying, Lucy!

Lucy is a dog who loves to go flying. Lucky for her she belongs to Jon Dahm of Key Largo, who always happens to own Flying Dog Helicopters. Jon offers Lucy and the rest of us a unique helicopter sightseeing experience in his float-equipped 2004 Robinson R44 Clipper II. Okay, I have no idea what that means, but for those of you that do, I figure it will mean something in my travel report and you'll be impressed.

What I do know is that here's the chance to fly over the Florida Keys and enjoy a bird's eye view of the scenery below, land on the water and float over a reef, fly along the beach, or explore seldom seen areas of the back country. On previous shoots I've had to drive down from Miami to the Florida Keys and I can tell you that it can be one long and traffic congested trip. Flying down was such the better way to go - faster, more scenic - a genius idea that I have to share.
Jon offers a variety of packages. You choose a sightseeing or 100 mile trip, or go for their Lighthouse and Shark Hunt tour, among others - whatever floats your boat. What I love about my job is the opportunity to experience all these things that I wouldn't be doing otherwise. Check out the video and you'll see why I don't get much sympathy when I claim stress on the job!
